About tykeTALK

tykeTALK offers programs for children in the Thames Valley region from birth to school-age with speech and/or language difficulties. It is a partnership of service provider agencies. The tykeTALK Health Promoter offers information for parents and community professionals on speech and language milestones and when and how to refer to tykeTALK.

Our focus is on early identification of speech and language problems. Assessment and therapy, if indicated are provided by registered Speech-Language Pathologists. Many programs are based in neighbourhoods across the region.

About Literacy

When parents share books with children from a young age, they support later literacy development. As parents, you play an important role in introducing your pre-school aged children to printed materials through interactive reading. This will help them to be ready for reading and literacy activities in school.
